Here you will first find information on accessibility for guests, and below you will find the official declaration on the accessibility of our services.

1. accessibility of our hotel for our customers:

We want all our guests to feel at home here – including people with limited mobility. Our listed building offers barrier-free access in many areas, even if there are restrictions in some places due to the historical fabric of the building.

Access to the Hotel Oderberger

The main entrance is not barrier-free, as we are not allowed to install an elevator or ramp there for monument protection reasons.

However, barrier-free access is possible via a lift on the side of the building (former women’s wing). Reception will have the appropriate key ready and will be happy to personally assist our guests with access.

The small ramp from the main entrance into the foyer can be used for baby carriages or suitcases.

All our event areas – the Schimmhalle and library on the ground floor and the seminar rooms on the first floor and basement – are accessible via a lift and elevator. The terrace is located in the rear courtyard and is accessible at ground level.

Fireplace bar:

Accessible via lift and elevator. The bar terrace is located directly on Oderberger Straße and can be reached at ground level.

Parking:

We have 2 disabled parking spaces on the premises as well as 10 parking spaces with regular dimensions.

Barrier-free accessible areas in the hotel:

Thanks to the lift and our elevators, the following areas are barrier-free.

Hotel room:

• Rooms S01 to S05, 209 to 217 and 306 to 312.
• Rooms S01 to S03 are particularly recommended for guests with limited mobility. They have a barrier-free bathroom, emergency call strips with a direct connection to reception and automatic doors along the pathway (can be opened at the touch of a button).

Swimming pool:

Accessible via the lift and elevator. From the reception, you can access the changing rooms in the basement. Access to the pool is via a staircase with a handle. Unfortunately, there is no pool lift.

Restaurant:

• Accessible via lift and elevator. Access is via the arcade (please note: there are two higher door thresholds). All three levels in the restaurant can be reached by elevator.
• The entrance from the inner courtyard is only accessible via a staircase.

Barrier-free WCs:

• In the changing rooms of the swimming pool
• On the first floor of the restaurant
• In rooms S01-S03
  (all with emergency call system to reception and additional signal in front of the door)

Additional notes

• We recommend visiting the Stadtbad with an accompanying person, especially in the case of major restrictions.
• We recommend rooms in the front building for guests with minor disabilities who do not require an accessible room, as these are closer to the elevator. The side wings are more difficult to access due to the many doors and historic corridors.
• The sauna is not barrier-free.

For guests with visual impairments

• A reading aid with lighting (magnifying glass) is available at reception.
• The buttons in all elevators are also labeled in Braille.
• In the event of a fire alarm, a clearly audible signal sounds throughout the house.
